About Alongside
Alongside is a preventative mental health platform designed to help students build essential skills for everyday challenges while identifying those at risk, including those experiencing severe concerns like suicidal ideation. Developed by clinicians and teens, Alongside supports students in grades 4-12 and offers a version for educators as well.

About This Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to support our Clinical R&D team in delivering and maintaining high-quality chat experiences for students, school staff, and district partners. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Sr. Clinical R&D Manager and interact with our AI, Engineering, and Product teams to enhance chat development, monitoring, and quality assurance as we expand our reach.
This position is ideal for candidates who are:
• Currently enrolled in a graduate Clinical Psychology program (Ph.D. preferred),
• Recent graduates pending licensure, or
• Licensed clinical psychologists.
What You’ll Do
• Assist with safety assurance related to suicide, self-harm, abuse, bullying, and other critical mental health concerns.
• Assist the Clinical team in developing and revising new chat experiences, integrating evidence-based practices.
• Leverage AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and other AI-powered applications to improve chat effectiveness and accuracy.
Who You Are
• Currently enrolled graduate student in Clinical Psychology (Ph.D. program preferred), a recent graduate pending licensure, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, School Psychologist, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist..
• Familiarity and comfort with clinical safety assessments (suicidal/homicidal ideation, abuse, neglect, bullying).
• Tech-savvy with an understanding or interest in AI technologies.
• Attentive to detail and capable of maintaining high standards independently.
• Collaborative team player, comfortable engaging with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proactive learner eager to contribute to an innovative, fast-paced mental health technology environment.
• Able to commit to working two hours daily, either from 11 AM to 1 PM EST or 12 PM to 2 PM EST, Monday through Friday.
Compensation
This role is part-time, requiring approximately 10 hours per week, and is compensated at $25 per hour.
